In Loving Memory of January Lee Hinkie (Raynor)
January Lee Hinkie, formerly January Lee Raynor, age 46, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2026.
January was a hard-working, caring, and beautiful soul who touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her. She was a devoted mother who put her children before everything and was their biggest supporter. She was there for the long days and even longer nights at the hockey rink, basketball courts, baseball fields, and football fields—simply because that was where her children wanted her to be. She never missed an opportunity to cheer them on, encourage them, and remind them that she believed in them.
January had a deep love for Philadelphia sports and could talk sports with anyone. Her passion, knowledge, and enthusiasm could rival any sports fan, and she never hesitated to share her opinions.
Professionally, January was an incredibly dedicated and accomplished woman. Through hard work and determination, she worked her way up the ladder to become a Supervising Paralegal at Friedman Vartolo. Her career was a reflection of the same commitment and perseverance she brought to every part of her life.
January attended Lock Haven University, where she created countless memories and lifelong friendships that remained with her throughout the years. She treasured her family and loved spending time with the people closest to her. She was always willing to volunteer, lend a helping hand, and be part of something bigger than herself. January had a remarkable way of putting others before herself and giving whatever she could to the people and causes she cared about.
January was a loving daughter to Joan Raynor and the late Ronald Raynor. She was the beloved mother of John Joseph Hinkie and Jana Lee Hinkie.
She will also be deeply missed by her siblings, Joan Marie Wright and Mary Raynor-Paul, and by her nieces and nephews, Michael Ditro, Callee Wright, Gabe Espinal, Shane Wright, Brian Wright, Thomas Paul, and Adriana Paul, along with her extended family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.
January was a beautiful soul, inside and out. Her love, strength, generosity, humor, and unwavering support will remain in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
She gave so much of herself to the people she loved. She was a mother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and supporter who was always there when she was needed.
Gone far too soon, January will be loved, remembered, and missed for the rest of our lives.
Celebration of Life will be Saturday, August 15, 2026 at the Guckin Funeral Mansion – 3330 G Street, Philadelphia PA 19134
