Robert Clark Sr.

In Loving Memory of Robert “Bob” Clark Sr.

Robert Clark Sr., lovingly known as “Bob” or “Big Bob,” passed away on October 5th 2026, at the age of 67, surrounded by his loving family, following a long and hard-fought battle with heart and kidney disease.

Born and raised in the Kensington/Harrowgate neighborhoods of Philadelphia, Bob was a proud Irishman, a proud American. He lost his beloved Mother, Jeanne (Gauger) Warren, at an early age and was raised by his Grandparents, Eleanor and Chester “Dan” Gauger, who played an important role in his life and upbringing.

Bob was a strong, honest, loyal, hardworking, and intelligent man who took pride in everything he did, especially the life he built and the family he loved. He stood up for what he believed in and lived life on his own terms. Bob was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud Pop Pop. His strength, determination, and unwavering dedication to his family were defining parts of who he was.

Bob was an avid lover of food and music. He could make just about anything on the grill, and to him, there was nothing better than a nice, big, Filet Mignon. In his better years, he enjoyed playing the drums, lifting weights, playing pool, and tossing horseshoes. He also enjoyed a nice, cold Budweiser from time to time. He had a passion for the things he loved and a special appreciation for life’s simple pleasures.

One of Bob’s proudest accomplishments, aside from raising his two children, was the beautiful home and backyard oasis he built completely from scratch, with his own two hands. He affectionately named the backyard “Amber Villas.” It was more than just a backyard; it is a place he created with love, where he would relax and, most importantly, spend precious time with his family. Amber Villas became a special place filled with memories, laughter, togetherness, and moments his family will treasure for years to come. It is a reflection of Bob himself: hardworking, creative, and proud of what he could build for the people he loved.

Bob leaves behind his beloved wife of 42 years, Patty (Corrigan) Clark; his son, Robert Clark Jr. (Margaret); his daughter, Erin Clark (Andrew); and his cherished granddaughters, McKenzie Ann and Hayden Rose, who meant more to him than anything in the world. Being their Pop Pop was one of his most treasured roles, and the love he had for his girls was immeasurable.

He also leaves behind his brother, Chuck; his sister, Theresa; his 90-year-old mother-in-law, Alice Corrigan; his brother-in-law Terry Corrigan; his beloved godson, Thomas “TJ”; and many nieces and nephews who will forever hold memories of him in their hearts.

We also can’t go without mentioning that “Big Bob” also leaves behind his beloved cat, Ezra, affectionately known as “Nurse Ezzie.” Throughout his many medical battles and procedures, Ezzie rarely left his side, keeping him company and watching over him. She was his faithful little companion, and will miss him dearly.

Bob fought hard through the challenges life brought his way, surrounded by the love of the family who faithfully stood beside him. He will be deeply missed by those who knew him and forever loved by those fortunate enough to call him husband, Dad, Pop Pop, brother, godfather, family, and friend.

Though his time here has come to an end, the love he gave, the things he created, the music he enjoyed, and the memories he made with his family will live on. His legacy will remain in the hearts of those who loved him and in the special place he built with his own hands, where his family will always be able to feel a little closer to him.

“May you be at heavens gates an hour before the devil knows you’re dead!”
