Sallie Smith – Passed on October 11, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sallie Smith, she departed this life on October 11, 2025 at the age of 96.
Sallie dedicated her life not only to her family but to civil service. She believed in the power of service and the importance of making a difference – values she lived by every day.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents, siblings, and son, Robert Morton. She is survived by her beloved life partner of 50 years, Ronald Tanksley, granddaughters, Robin & Kim, great grandchildren, Linae, Kelly, and Kamryn, great great grandchild, Logan, including a host of great nieces and nephews.
The surviving family will carry her memory forward with love and pride.
