Joseph ‘Joe’ M. Renshaw

Joseph ‘Joe’ M. Renshaw, age 66, of Riverside NJ, passed away on February 4th, 2025. He was born on May 14th, 1958 to Marie and James Renshaw Sr. He graduated from Thomas Edison State College in 1983. He worked at PSE&G as a nuclear planner, among various other positions, for 35 years until he retired in 2016.

Joseph is survived by his bothers James Renshaw Jr (Denise Sullivan) and Richard Renshaw (Dawn Mader), his sisters Elaine (Dale) Nixon, Nancy (Frank) Piazza, Diann Lisnak, Karen (Ted) Brann, his children Michael (Jaclyn) Renshaw and Stephen (Megan) Renshaw, his granddaughter Sutton Renshaw, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Growing up, Joseph found a passion for football, basketball, baseball, and golf. Once his playing days were over, he became a beloved coach for Riverside PAL football. He also coached his two sons in baseball and hockey, winning a few championships along the way.

Joe was a devoted family man who always enjoyed taking trips to the Poconos and to Long Beach Island, creating countless memories with his children along the way. His breakfasts were unmatched, known for his “heart attack” plate which consisted of a mountain of sausage, bacon, kielbasa, ham, eggs, and pancakes. He was most known for his famous wings and hotdogs with sauerkraut specially made for family gatherings or fantasy football parties.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Monday February 10th 2025 from 9:30-10:30am at Resurrection Parish, Riverside, NJ (St. Casimir site). Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to Samaritan Hospice by visiting www.samaritannj.org/giving/
