John Patrick Seykot

John Patrick Seykot 71, of Warminster Bucks County, passed to his eternal reward and welcomed into heaven on January 2nd 2025. John died peacefully at his home in his sleep. John was born in Philadelphia on October 23, 1953 and is predeceased by his beloved parents Charles Seykot Sr. and Ann Seykot (nee Glackin) and his older brother Charles Jr., and survived by loving family including sister Theresa Large (Philip), Ann Marie Brashears ( Dave), James Seykot ( Susan) and Eileen Rhodes. John was a gentleman and trusted cherished family member serving as godfather to Marybeth Large and Mary Theresa Seykot and was proud uncle to to Shane Brashears, Jeremy Brashears, James Patrick Seykot and Heather Rhodes. He was great uncle to William, Martina and Theresa Naratil, Amanda and Ashley Brashears, Faegan and Flynn Brashears.

John was born in the St Edward parish in Philadelphia and then the family moved to Kensington where he attended The Ascension of Our Lord parish and then onto Northeast Catholic High School, where he was a proud Falcon alumnus, class of 1973. John then went on to LaSalle College where he graduated and achieved his degree.

Eventually he went to work for the US Postal Service and stayed for 30 years before retiring a few years ago. John moved to Warminster PA (St. Cyrils of Jerusalem RC Church) after living in Mayfair ( St. Matthews RC Church) for several years. He recently got together with friends and postal co-workers after Christmas for a nice lunch and enjoyed occasional lunches and reunions.

John also was a member of Men of Malvern and attended annually with the St John Neuman group for the past 25+ years. John enjoyed all Philly sports teams but especially the Phillies – and did get to many games and was fortunate to go to spring training in Clearwater. Fla. John enjoyed vacations at the Jersey shore for several years – relaxing on the beach, walking the boardwalk and dining out in North Wildwood.

John was a kind and generous man and a friend to all who met him. He will be sadly and greatly missed. Services will be held at St Cyrils of Jerusalem, Almshouse Rd, Jamison PA 18929 – Saturday January 18th, 2025, visitation 9:30 with Mass of Christian Burial 10:30am. Burial will be private. Please come out and say a fond farewell to John.
