A life-long resident of Harrowgate, Barbara Czekaj was a familiar face on Frankford Ave. Born on August 27,1950 to John Czekaj, Sr. and Catherine (Wojcik), she died tragically in a fire which destroyed her family home on September 11, 2024.
She will be remembered by her neighbors and friends as friendly, generous and very proud of her Polish heritage.
A visitation will be held at St. Joan of Arc Church located at 3546 Frankford Ave. Philadelphia, PA 19134 on Wednesday, October 16 at 6pm followed by a Mass of Resurrection at 7pm.
Burial will be in St. Joachim’s Cemetery.
