In 1983-84, after he completed Basic Training and Infantry AIT at Fort Benning, I was Joe’s squad leader at 1st Platoon, A/1/315 INF, USAR. He was my friend and a good soldier, and I am proud to have served with him. My sincerest condolences to his family.
