Edwin “OB” Hernandez – Age 58, passed away on March 24, 2022.
Edwin “OB” Hernandez was born in SanTruce, Puerto Rico and migrated to the states at a young age. He was born to Olga Martinez and Juan Hernandez. He was educated throughout the public school system as he lived in many states, but finally settled in Pennsylvania.
Edwin called Philadelphia his home and widely traveled throughout the city. OB fathered and adored his two beautiful girls; Erica and Nafisha.
In his many travels OB made hundreds of friends. Literally; he was loved by so many. OB always had a story to tell or to make. He could be seen as a loner, but kept his loved ones very close.
Edwin always found time to spend with his family and made sure to be in constant contact with so many by phone, text and especially social media because he had so many Facebook and Instagram pages.
Although OB had some internal struggles in his life he greeted everyone with a smile and words of wisdom. He enjoyed learning from different people and different cultures. He enjoyed keeping his body fit and led an active lifestyle. He loved drawing and was always honing his craft as an artist.
OB definitely was not done living as his death was very unexpected. He was preceded in death by his Beloved mother, Olga Martinez, two nephews Ricardo and Jose, one niece Ashley.
OB leaves to mourn his beloved daughters; Erica and Nafisha, His dearest grandchildren; Amber, Nafisha, Aidein and Yasir. His bonus children; Jasmine, Shawn, Malika and Alexis. His brothers and sisters; Victor, Wilfredo, Olga, Ramon, Emilio, Nancy and Carlos. His gang of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate his life Wednesday evening April 6th from 5 to 8 PM.
Visitation begins at 5PM
Prayer service is at 7PM
Interment Private.
The family invites all to wear your Eagles Green colors to OB’s service.
